First Birthday Mustache Bash!

First Birthday Mustache Bash!

Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post. mustache9

Little “A” turned 1 and I wanted to choose a fun party theme that would include both the children and adults, after thinking and searching the Internet, I settled on a mustache bash! I created a cool invitation and began surfing the internet for decor, snacks and games! The invitation was made from Round Coasters (Amazon), added a sticker I printed out with the party information and added a Hairy Mustache (Oriental Trading). I shopped on Etsy, Oriental Trading, Party City & Amazon in order to make my vision a reality! All in all the party was a huge success and we all have a new appreciation for the mustache!

I found these black cardboard Candelabra Centerpieces  (Oreintal Trading) and used the Mini Black Top Hats (Oriental Trading) as snack containers.

mustache2  I made this hanging pennant with white cardstock that I cut into triangles, laced on to white ribbon and personalized with black letters.

I made a Milk & Cookies bar that featured Mustache Covered Oreos (Etsy), Chocolate Mustache Lollipops (Etsy), Clear Plastic Coffee Mugs (Party City), glass milk jugs (filled with whole milk, low fat milk & soy milk) and Magic Milk Straws (Amazon) in a variety of flavors so that guests could choose their own flavors.

Since “A”‘s birthday was around Thanksgiving, I asked a friend to make mini sweet potato pies that I added whipped cream to & Edible Mustache Cake Toppers (Etsy).

The children were entertained with a variety of activities. I bought a cookie decorating kit from Cheryls that came with cookies, vanilla & chocolate buttercream frosting for the kids to decorate & enjoy.

The guests chose a Hairy Mustache (Oriental Trading) to wear and got to design/decorate a cardboard bowtie.
