My name is Melanie. I am a mom of two children, G who is 3 years old and V, who is 1 year old. G was born with a condition called Arthrogryposis. It affects his hips, knees and feet and makes it difficult for him to walk unassisted. Right now he uses braces and a walker to get around. As many moms will tell you, becoming a mother is a life changing experience. Having a child with a physical disability not only changes your life, but also changes how you see the world. All of a sudden, the world around you is an obstacle, a challenge for your child and your family, but at the same time, it has opened a whole new world of joy, surprises and miracles.
