Getting organized is definitely one of my 2017 promises and the portable Brother P-Touch Label Maker ($34.99) is helping me keep my promise as well as making the whole process fun and easy!

I started in the kitchen cabinets where ther seemed to be countless half bags of dried beans taking up way too much space. I bought several mason jars and planned to consolidate, organize and store the beans uniformly.

I poured the beans into the jars, covered them and created labels using the P-Touch Label Maker for each jar: lentils, 7 bean mix, etc.

Now the jars of beans look neat and tidy but most importantly they are clearly labeled and accessible to use making my cupboard look a bit more organized!

My boys love drawing and coloring and their pencils, crayons, colored pencils and markers are always mixed up and scattered all over the place. Melissa, of Just a BXmom, gave me a great idea to upcycle all the theme park cups we have collected by using them as storage containers for their art supplies…simply genius! I gathered all the cups and sorted the supplies by type. Next I used the P-Touch Label Maker to generate labels with bold font for each cup! Now, their supplies are clearly labeled and have no reason to be anywhere else.

I LOVE crafting just as much as my boys…if not more and have acquired tons of crafting supplies which I have previously stored in ziplock bags in containers that aren’t always readily accessible. So, I purchased a couple Bekvam spice racks that i spray painted ($3.99) and a few Rajtan 4 pk. spice jars ($3.99) from Ikea that I could use to store and display my craft supplies: sorted them and stored them in the jars. Next, I created labels…pink ones using the portable  Brother P-Touch Label Maker to label the bottles. Now my supplies are sorted, stored and easily acessible.

I can not wait to hit other rooms in my house and continue organizing and labeling!
