IllumiCraft™ Light-up! Mirror (MSRP $19.99, suggested age range: 8 years +) contains step-by-step instructions to assist your budding engineer through designing their very own working electrical circuit which they can decorate with paints, markers, stickers and more once it is complete.
The IllumiCraft™ Light-up! Mirror kit ncludes mirror with built in frame; 2 LEDs with screw-in back units; battery case with lid and CR2032 battery; and 2 feet of adhesive, conductive copper tape, 2 sheets of sparkly, decorative, shaped foam; plastic and paper decorative shapes; 5-color paint set; and step-by-step guide.
With some assistance, my niece engineered the circuit to light up her hanging mirror to add to her bedroom decor.
This hands-on activity is a great way to get kids excited about STEM, especially when the end result is a fully functioning circuit that they created and decorated to in their own way!
