Girlfriends Getaway at Affinia Gardens NYC

Girl time is so important to nurturing and maintaining healthy prosperous friendships especially after becoming wives and mothers. I requested that everyone bring a cute onesie to wear to make it a real pajama party.
I decided to plan a girls weekend for a couple of my favorite bloggers & girlfriends at the Affinia Gardens Hotel to spend quality time together and kick off my #40WeeksTo40 celebration!
The Gardens NYC hosted us in one of their luxurious 1 bedroom suites complete with a kitchenette. The Upper East side location was perfect for visits to restock the wine at Manhattan Wine Xchange picking up snacks & necessities from CVS, grabbing some happy hour drinks at Baker Street Pub!
And when we felt the need for some sweet treats, we headed to the Sprinkles Cupcakes ATM that is open 24 hours, so you will never be cupcakeless again!
We also planned lots of downtime into the weekend, which included in room manicures & pedicures by Mani or Pedi, a mobile salon service that comes to you!
Our technician, Elizabeth arrived with all the tools she needed to treat us to fabulous manicures, pedicures and even a mini deep massage! She brought a variety of nail colors for us to choose from and offered personalized color suggestions that really worked for everyone.
I chose to get a manicure from Mani or Pedi, Elizabeth did a great job and the best part was that I was super relaxed because I was “home”.
The Affinia Gardens NYC hotel has a daily Social Sips hour where guests can enjoy complimentary wine and mingle in the lobby which is a great way to meet other guests, staff and even get some fun recommendations!
Since we were all in pajamas most of the weekend, we decided to order from Meisterdish (use link for $20 off your first 2 orders), an on demand meal delivery service where all ingredients are prepped and all you have to do is cook it!
We ordered a variety of meals and had a great time preparing & devouring the delicious dishes. Meisterdish is available for delivery on the Upper East Side in NYC or for pick-up.
The weekend was a great way to reconnect and enjoy each others company, we even exchanged some small gifts like the SQUAD straws in most of the pictures (Neiman Marcus), Room Essentials wine glasses (Target), sparkly flasks, body lotions and more! The girls and I played board games, “Never Have I Ever”, colored and even completed some Paint by Number postcards (Bloomingdales).
After our festively relaxing weekend, I was able to complete a quiet workout at the Affinia Gardens NYC gym before heading back home to my hectic mom life! A girlfriends getaway/staycation is the perfect way to get a much needed break from our busy lives as wives & mothers and spend time reconnecting with great friends! i can’t wait for our next one!
