Family Weekend Away at Hotel Indigo East End

City Living can be hectic and nonstop requiring much needed breaks that help us slow down and enjoy life. Escaping to Riverhead, Long Island was a refreshing change of pace that didn’t require extensive traveling. My family and I purchased tickets for the Hampton Jitney, which has several pick up stops in NYC and took us out to Long Island on a comfortable coach bus. The bus ride was about 2 hours long and we got off at the Tanger Outlet mall stop, then I called Hotel Indigo East End and they sent their complimentary shuttle (available to drop-off & pick-uo guests within a 5 mile radius) to pick us up.
We arrived at Hotel Indigo East End in about five minutes after being picked up, checked in and headed to our room. Our room was warm and inviting with two comfortable double beds, a desk area, big windows, a modern spa-like bathroom with walk-in shower, a coffee maker mini fridge & microwave (available upon request).
The onsite Fitness Center is located on the lobby level and features Life Fitness equipment including two treadmills, one elliptical trainer, recumbent bicycle, universal station, dumbells from 5-50 lbs, adjustable bench and DirecTV to watch on two 40″ LCD TV’s. There are also a number of spa services available to help you relax luxuriously.
The outdoor wood burning fireplace is the perfect place to eat, sip on drinks, chat or simply enjoy the scenery year round. Plus, there is a seasonal outdoor pool that offers poolside service from Bistro 72!
Bistro 72 is the restaurant and lounge located in the lobby serving fine locally grown ingredients and regional wines as well as organic options when possible. You may dine indoor, outdoor, poolside and fireside with live entertainment on Wednesday-Saturday nights.
Our weekend away was packed with local sight-seeing, lots of delicious dining, a visit to a nearby farm and some much needed downtime. Hotel Indigo East End is the perfect retreat to refresh your family!
