Summer Fun at Hershey Park on a Rainy Day

We had a family fun day at Hershey Park but what seems like a perfect sunny summer day soon turned into one filled with intermittent rain and sun showers. But we decided that we were going to make the best of our visit!

The fun begins before you even enter the park. Everyone can “Measure Up” to figure out which Hershey’s candy they measure up to in order to know which rides they meet the height requirement for.

First, the boys rode a coupe of the Kiddie Rides like the Baloon Flite, Dizzy Drums, Helicopters, Space Age and Traffic Jam.

Then we decided to get on some of the covered family rides until the rain let-up like the Carrousel, Frontier Flyers, Dry Gulch Railroad, the Music Express and the Tilt-a-Whirl.

The weather did not stop the Hershey characters from walking around to take pictures with park guests. We took pictures with Milk Dud, Hershey’s Bar and Reese.

We decided to purchase an All day Dining Meal (for daddy to keep him fed and in a good mood) and Meal Tickets for the kids.

The All Day Dining Meal was about $30 and it allows the wristband wearer to het a meal every 90 minutes from a variety of restaurants in the park. This was a great buy, especially since hubby gets crank when he is hungry.

Once, the rain cleared up, we headed to the waterpark for a couple hours, where the boys changed into their swimsuits and we grabbed a couple lounge chairs to relax.

The two youngest boys were perfectly happy passing their time at the Shore, a wave pool with spontaneous water spouts along its edge.

Hubby and the oldest, set-off to check out some of the water rides like: Coastline Plunge, Breakers Edge Water Coaster and the Intercostal Waterway.

We enjoyed our time at the waterpark until it closed, which was perfect because the rain started again and this time it didn’t stop! Hershey Park can be fun for the whole family, rain or shine
