Jack Skellington Cookie Craft

Disclaimer I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.

I can’t believe that The Nightmare Before Christmas is celebrating its 25th year! It seems like just yesterday, I was introduced to The Pumpkin King, Sally and the Oogey Boogey man.

A nightmare before christams

In celebration of the movie, we made edible Jack Skelligton cookies that are perfect to snack on while within the film!

  • Oreo cookies
  • White Chocolate Melts
  • Black Twizzler Pull & Peel candy
  • Black Gel

MATERIALS:

  • Candy Melt Pot

1.Melt the white candy melts in the Candy Melt pot. Put a lollipop stick into the middle of an Oreo cookie.

2.Dip the cookie into the melted candy and make sure both sides are completely covered. Place on a cup in the refrigerator for five minutes to slightly harden.

3. Use the Twizzlers Pull & Peel candy to create a big Jack Skellington smile and cut smaller pieces to create the stitches. Use some of the melted candy to attach the “stitches” to the smile.

4. Use the black gel to create Jack’s eyes and nostrils. Replace cookie on a cup and place it back in the refrigerator to harden for about fifteen minutes.
