Disney Dreamers Academy held its “100 Minutes to Empower Your Dreams” seminar Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Schomburg Center in Harlem, New York. Following the event, Mickey Mouse posed with guest speakers that included, from left: Julee Wilson, senior fashion director for ESSENCE magazine; Jonathan Sprinkles, motivational speaker; Brandi Harvey, motivational speaker; Tracey Powell, Disney Executive Champion. Held annually at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Disney Dreamers Academy provides select high school students an opportunity to participate in a weeklong outside-the-classroom education program designed to help them imagine bright futures, make exciting discoveries and learn how to put their goals into action. During this four-day immersive experience, Disney Dreamers work side by side with community and industry leaders, celebrities and Disney cast members. Applications are open now through Oct. 31, 2018.
